26 things I’m no longer apologizing for
One last love letter to 25, and everything I’m leaving behind
Well, here comes 26, and honestly, I’m not feeling much.
Twenty-five felt huge, transformative.
26 feels… well, a weird limbo between mid and late 20s?
I wanted to write today about natural wines and toxic romance (yup, both combined), but I guess I’ll leave it to another time.
After giving it a thought, just because I’m not feeling too pumped about 26 doesn’t mean I don’t love a good late-night reflection.
So, here you have them:
26 things I’m no longer apologizing for.
⛰️ Owning my path
1. I am no longer apologizing for choosing my own path. For deviating, for going south when everyone said go north, for going west when everyone said go east.
What a pleasure to do my own thing. So damn liberating.
2. I am no longer apologizing for making my parents feel uncomfortable with my life decisions. My life is mine. I love them (Mum, Dad, if you’re reading this, you know it’s not personal), but well, it’s my life.
3. I am no longer apologizing for choosing to write, create, or make art. It’s not a hobby, it’s not a side thing; it’s what I want to do.
4. I am no longer apologizing for being faithful to myself, even if it means losing people along the way.
5. I am no longer apologizing for laughing hard, dressing sexy, or wearing makeup if I want to.
🕯️Holding space for my truth
6. I am no longer apologizing for making others feel uncomfortable with some of my content.
Yes, here we talk about menstruation, ovulation, sex, pleasure, intergenerational trauma, and many taboos that most humans are scared of bringing up.
7. I am no longer apologizing for having a rigid schedule and putting my dreams above all.
If I can’t make it to dinner, aperitivo, romance sessions, it’s because I am working my ass off to reach my dreams.
8. I am no longer apologizing for spending my weekends slowly, sleeping without an alarm, having breakfast at 13:00, and spending the day chilling.
9. I’m no longer apologizing for outgrowing people who no longer see me. Love can still exist at a distance.
10. I’m no longer apologizing for shit days. I’m moody sometimes, I’m electric other times, I can be a crazy storm, too.
I’m all in one, and I’m tired of pretending to be a perfect dreamy rainbow woman. I’m not.
🔮 Guarding my energy
11. I’m not apologizing for carefully choosing who I spend my time with.
People who are not aligned with my values, my path, or my energy are people I’m not interested in having close to my life.
12. I’m no longer apologizing for loving people who weren’t right for me.
It’s all part of a greater master plan; every experience has led me to where I am.
13. I’m no longer apologizing for being misunderstood with my boundaries.
If my boundaries confuse you, that’s on you, not on me. Misunderstanding is very natural. There’s no need to explain myself every single time.
14. I’m no longer apologizing for not being into one-night stands and superficial relationships with men.
I love romance. I love sharing life with a significant other. I love love.
15. I’m no longer apologizing for being a romantic.
I still believe in soulmates, slow kisses, deep intimacy, and Sunday-love sessions.
16. I’m no longer apologizing for becoming someone my family doesn’t fully understand.
🐚 Honoring my rhythm
17. I’m no longer apologizing for loving so deeply.
18. I’m no longer apologizing for spending my weekends slowing down, sleeping in, having breakfast at 1:00 pm, and spending the day chilling.
19. I’m no longer apologizing for being turned off by small talk. With anyone. It ain’t for me.
I want deep, heart-touching, soul-moving connections.
20. I am no longer apologizing for having a wild soul that is seeking pure life, passion, pleasure, and love.
🐉 Owning my body, style, and sensuality
21. I am no longer apologizing for laughing hard, dressing sexy, or wearing makeup if I want to.
22. I’m no longer apologizing for dressing how I want.
My style is my being, and no matter what you tell me, I’ll keep on expressing through it.
23. I’m no longer apologizing for not being the daughter, the lover, the woman they imagined.
I didn’t come to this life to fulfill everyone’s imagination.
I came here to be ME.
24. I’m no longer apologizing for my creative erotic mind.
I have a book in my room called “Sex Tips for Creative Lovers”, and I am not embarrassed. I feel empowered with it.
Making space for more
25. I’m no longer apologizing for asking for more.
26. I am no longer apologizing for how long it’s taken me to become who I am, and honestly,
I can’t wait to see what’s coming.
26, here I come.
🖤 Here’s to never shrinking ourselves again.
What are you no longer apologizing for?
Stay wild,
Isabella
